Liability Waiver
Effective Date: June 2026
By booking a journey with ALMAR Private Journeys, guests acknowledge the inherent risks associated with luxury travel in Colombia and agree to the terms set forth in this Liability Waiver. This waiver is a condition of participation.
1. Assumption of Risk
Travel within Colombia, including adventure activities, remote excursions, and cultural experiences, involves inherent risks such as physical injury, illness, theft, and unforeseen events. Guests voluntarily assume all such risks and participate at their own discretion.
2. Release of Liability
Guests hereby release ALMAR Private Journeys, its directors, employees, contractors, and partners from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, or causes of action arising from injury, damage, or loss sustained during participation in any service or activity arranged by ALMAR.
3. Adventure Activities
Certain experiences including helicopter tours, water-based activities, hiking, and cultural excursions carry elevated physical risk. Guests confirm they are in good health and physically capable of participating. Guests assume full personal responsibility for their safety during all activities.
4. Indemnification
Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless ALMAR Private Journeys, its affiliates, and representatives against any claims, losses, or expenses including reasonable legal fees arising from the guest's own conduct, negligence, or breach of these terms.
5. Travel Insurance
ALMAR strongly recommends that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure, covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, evacuation, and lost or stolen property. ALMAR is not responsible for losses that could have been covered by appropriate travel insurance.
6. Agreement
By confirming a booking with ALMAR Private Journeys, you acknowledge that you have read, fully understood, and voluntarily agreed to this Liability Waiver. This agreement is binding on you and all members of your travel party, including minors traveling under your guardianship.
